A short bike or walk away

The Waskesiu Lake town site has a championship golf course, six tennis courts, lawn bowling and the lake.  It also has 3 marinas with full launching facilities giving motorboats easy access to seven lakes for fishing, recreation, and ecotourism enjoyment.

Restaurants, clothing, home décor, art galleries, and more provide for a unique shopping experience. Canada Day festivities, Children’s Festival, and cultural events are part of the summer entertainment schedule – check out the Parks Canada website to coordinate your visit. There are kids swimming, tennis, and golf lessons available by instruction. Waskesiu serves as an all-purpose playground.

The Park

Nature. Always.

Prince Albert National Park embraces nearly 4000 square kilometres of wilderness.  You’ll find more than 150 km of well maintained trails throughout the park for hiking enthusiasts.  Picnic sites with fully enclosed shelters, fireplaces, picnic tables and firewood compliment the many beaches around the lakes. The Park also offers an extensive activity schedule and fully interactive interpretive programs.

In addition to all you can do in the Park, just outside the park in Lakeland district are even more activities from horseback riding to zip-lining in the nearby adventure park, and much more.   The activities, events and excitement are here year-round.  You can snowmobile, go dog-sledding and even skate or go ice fishing on a frozen lake.

Kapasiwin is the place to be to make the most of your amazing vacation experience - everyone here loves the park and its astounding mix of things to see and do.

The Lobstick Golf Course

Stanley Thompson Masterpiece

The Lobstick Golf Course was built in 1935 and is one of the oldest courses in Western Canada. The course was designed by legendary Canadian architect Stanley Thompson.

According to native legend, the emblematic tassel-top lobstick tree, created by lopping off a series of branches below the top, was used as a navigational marker.
