Your
entire family will treasure their stay at Kapasiwin thanks
to an abundance of available activities both on site and nearby,
to keep your vacation full of endless adventure.
On
Site: We provide a full sized playground that is equal to
the task of satisfying even the most energized young tots.
Kapasiwin's
own private beach area provides the opportunity for an abundance
of lakeshore recreation. Swim in the crystal clear waters
or enjoy the opportunity for water-skiing, sailboarding, sailing
or boating. We are happy to provide complimentary canoes,
peddleboats and kayaks. We also offer nicely equipped
16 foot boats with quiet environmentally friendly four stroke
motors for enthusiasts to enjoy a number of nearby lakes for
fishing or discovering the beauty of the ecotourism opportunities.
Off Site:
Prince Albert National Park embraces nearly 4000 square kilometers
of wilderness. You'll find more than 150 km of well
maintained trails throughout the park for hiking enthusiasts.
Picnic sites with fully enclosed shelters, fireplaces, picnic
tables and wood compliment the many beaches around the lakes.
The Park
also offers an extensive activity schedule and fully interactive
interpretive programs. The Nature Center uses hands
on displays and wildlife specimens to showcase the area's
unique abundance of ecological offerings. Nature, History,
and Wildlife videos are shown in their very own theatre and
books on the Park's unique blend of environments, history
and folklore are available for all ages.
The Waskesiu Lake townsite has two championship golf courses,
six tennis courts, lawn bowling and the like. It also
has 3 marinas with full launching facilities giving motor
boats easy access to seven lakes
for fishing, recreation and ecotourism enjoyment.
Restaurants,
clothing, home décor, art galleries and more, provide
for a unique shopping experience. Canada Day festivities,
Children's Festival, and cultural events are part of the summer
entertainment schedule. There are kids swimming, tennis and
golf lessons available by instruction. Waskesiu serves as
an all-purpose playground.
